I have a serious problem…without fail, everyday my usual searches will be the blogs on my favourites list, followed by my favourite online shopping sites (yes that is plural). Every day I check the mail to see if a package has arrived, yes I do realise how sad this makes me sound. But let me tell you why I have developed this problem, not only do I have a lot of down time during my week, but forgive me when I say this, I am not feeling mainstream Australian fashion. The feather scarves, denim shorts so short I can see your ass checks from across the street, nah I’ll wear that shit in my own time.
But don’t get confused with this saying I’m hating on Australian fashion designers -I’m not. We have some amazing fashion designers…but what university student has the funds to be buying new season Sass and Bide and the Zimmerman jumpsuit at the Pitt Street store every other day? Most def, is not me.
So that’s is the back story of my addiction…I figure if I’m not spending it stores I might as well do it online. Or save…which I do quite a lot. But let’s be real here shopping online really is the best way to shop for different styles from where ever, when ever…and it usually is cheaper to shop online, minus the shipping.
First step – I admitted I have a problem. But shopping online is like crack to me, take it away and I may hurt someone. So for the people living in Australia check out ASOS (free shipping), Nastygal.com, Karmaloop, Yesstyle.com, Ebay, iOffer, UrbanOutfitters, Forever21 – if there is any I’ve missed send me a message!
We all know that Blake Lively is rumored to be the starring in the new Chanel add campaign…but now it seems that Leighton Meester wants to be high-end like Blake. Leighton is rumoured to be the new face of Missoni.
NYLON COVER: MILA KUNIS - amazing styling and photography, I particularly like the fact that Nylon can mix designer with affordable pieces. Belts from Chanel, Jumper from Guess, Jacket from Elizabeth and James with shorts from Ksubi and undies from Topshop. I also like that Nylon styled Mila in a range of different looks, shows variety and that the Nylon stylist actually gots it going on in their wardrobe department. Dream job: WORK @ NYLON (yeah…i’ll get there!)
Jessicia Biel in a new ad for Revlon’s Fire & Ice campaign, reannacted the brand’s 1952 ad for a collection of the same name, which starred Dorian Leigh. I must say Jessica Biel wears the 50’s well…but I no one does a reannactment of the 50’s like Rachel McAdams in the Notebook. Good effort though Jessica. Not sure when the collection will be hitting Australia, but keep your eyes open for them in stores.
